Corey Graves Got Major WWE Star Fired?

Corey Graves may have played a role in Jonathan Coachman losing his Raw announce gig in 2018, according to a new AdFreeShows.com interview.

No-Jumpshot posted on Reddit: Earlier today, Coach did a Q&A with the AdFreeShows crew discussing his WWE tenure and claimed it was the final interview he will ever do about wrestling. Here are some of the things he said:

The first 5 years of his career was the most fun he had because he enjoyed working in the studio doing the pre-shows to get us hyped for the PPVs.

He said his favorite match of his was wrestling Tajiri at Backlash 2004. They tried to get him to do wrestling because Coach was bigger than some of his co-workers & McMahon didn’t like the visual during interviews.

He was punished for not going to one of the Tribute to The Troops shows despite them being voluntary.

The Benoit tragedy affected him a lot since he was a friend of Benoit and helped train coach.

He left in 2008 because his dream was ESPN. He also didn’t want to get caught up in the vices that have taken the lives of so many people he’s worked with. (You gotta realize this is post-Benoit, it was an uncertain time)

When Coach came back in 2018, that’s when everything soured. He informed them ahead of that he had signed a contract with PGA to do broadcasting. He was told it wouldn’t be an issue for him being able to do both.

It became an issue because he kept missing RAW shows. They tried to get him to change his PGA deal and he refused, thus pissing off WWE management.

He’s the reason why WWE got a deal with ESPN after Kevin Dunn called him at 3 AM and asked him to do it to grow the brand.

Corey Graves didn’t want to work with him making his job difficult.

Despite doing everything he was asked to do, he was still constantly disrespected.

He’s bitter, and has a right to be, about how things ended. He has no interest in going back to wrestling and is happy with his gigs in sports.

He enjoyed meeting and entertaining WWE fans over the years.
