The breakup of John Cena and Nikki Bella is one of the most shocking news coming out of the wrestling world last month but there are still people who believe that the whole thing is a work.
During the latest episode of PWinsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson talked about these speculations and said some things that will only fuel the rumors of the split not being legit.
Johnson said that he has heard rumblings from some people backstage about the whole thing being a work and there are persons who mutter similar concerns though he went on to say that he doesn’t have enough to report it as news.
Continuing on the topic, Mike speculated that the whole thing could be a negotiation tactic from WWE for their upcoming deal with NBC Universal for the broadcasting rights of the Total Bellas.
According to him, announcing the breakup a few weeks before Total Bellas’ season premiere could be a way to garner public interest into the new season of the reality show as recent seasons have not done so well compared to when the show first started airing.
The increased interest will show the star power of the cast and may help in getting a better deal from the broadcasting company.
