John Cena is a 16-time World Champion in WWE and has been the face of the company for over a decade until he shifted to a part-time schedule back in 2017. Many fans have been wanting to see Cena make his return at this year’s WrestleMania. He is also worked with Vin Diesel on Fast and Furious 9. John Cena was also humiliated by Brock Lesnar at his WWE SummerSlam match.
John Cena challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam and despite working his hardest, was unable to beat the Tribal Chief for the title.
John Cena recently spoke to Dan Patrick on That Scene, where he was asked about Conor McGregor possibly going to WWE and how he would perform there.
“He’d be fantastic. He is what we do. It’s a little less predictable. Our surprises are getting people to show up at random and weave the ‘choose your own adventure’ into a different alley. His surprises are getting a few teeth knocked out or getting an operation. Not to say that this doesn’t happen with us, mistakes happen, but in his profession it’s not a mistake. I hope (he makes an appearance) because I want to see it. At my core, I’m a fan. He’s interesting and have a gravity about him. I want to see him perform.”
