Dana White can get batty pretty quickly as many MMA fans know. Dana White has always been seen as the good guy and the bad guy to many. While there are more things to worry about than Dana White, it seems that Dana is a bit bent out of shape that he didn’t win a certain award. Dana is so bent in fact that he called Tony Khan of AEW to release his gripe. That’s not all though. It was recently reported that Dana White felt a bit off about not winning the Wrestling Observer Promoter Of The Year namesake. Dana White took this deeply, so deeply that he drank himself into a drunken stooper. The story goes that Dana White along with Ric Flair and Dave Meltzer called up Tony Khan of AEW to leave a wild voicemail about how he (Dana) may have been unhappy about not winning such a namesake, but Dana was happy about one thing….
Dana stated that he was out at ease due to the fact that the winner wasn’t Vince McMahon. Wow, time to sound the air horns and drop all of the mics because Vince is not the most liked kid at the lunch table for sure.
Tony Khan takes his awards personally as he is ready to continue to build out AEW as he stated: “I’m definitely going to make multiple additions over the next four to six months. I think there will some activity in the near future. I’m not going to say what it is, and I don’t think anyone would want me to just like I don’t think they would have wanted me to with any confirmation going into the First Dance and how that was going to come off. I definitely will be active and have been active in signing people from day one in this company and recruiting talent is key to any pro wrestling company.”
