Daniel Bryan on the difficulties of making in ring WWE return

Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan’s health has been a subject of discussion lately especially after Bryan himself provided an update on his recovery saying that there is no reason why he wouldn’t return to wrestling once his treatment is completed.

Another thing which people talk about is whether or not WWE would let the former World Champion wrestle under their banner even if he is cleared by doctors.

During a recent interview with Trentonian Daniel provided an update on his situation and also talked about why it would be difficult for WWE to let him wrestle inside their ring even after getting cleared. Below you can read the full comments of Daniel Bryan:

“I’m trying to get cleared as we speak; All my tests have come back fantastic, better than people who have never had any concussion-type stuff. But it’s a weird thing. We’re in a weird situation politically with the climate around concussions; right now, it’s very difficult. WWE would love to have me back, but is that the smart thing for me as a business to bring me back? If I was to come back, and they let me back, would they get a lot of flak for it? They have a ton of stockholders that they’re responsible for. It’s more than just, ‘Is he healthy to do it?’

“There’s more than that to the whole situation. All the concussion doctors think that I’m healthy enough to do it and that I should be able to do it — well, I don’t want to say all of them, I’m sure there’s somebody out there who doesn’t think that — but there’s a lot more than goes into it than just that. That’s the unfortunate situation with giant corporations and big business in the United States.”

I have nothing but respect and admiration for Brian Danielson, and I can appreciate that he loves the business and has passion for it, however the guy needs to let this go…

Is it a shame his career got cut short so young? Absolutely…

However its not worth risking your long term health or life over, especially now he’s a father. I just don’t see the point, would it be nice to see him wrestle again? sure, but concussions aren’t something to be taken lightly and there’s been plenty of athletes that have had their careers cut short due to them, and its not like he’s out of a job or anything as he’s still able to play a massive role in wrestling and connect with the fans, just not in the way he wanted.
