Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan rose to superstardom in 2014 thanks to his organic rise as a babyface. This culminated in him winning both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships at WrestleMania 30 after Bryan defeated Randy Orton and Batista in a triple threat match. Spoiler for an episode of WWE NXT fueled a rumor about Daniel Bryan as well.
Last month on an episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Daniel Bryan faced off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the show. Despite competing to the best of his ability, Daniel Bryan was unable to win the match and was banned from Friday Night Smackdown as a result of his loss. His contract also expired back in May and many fans have been wondering where he will go next. Bryan knew WWE that he would be leaving before WrestleMania.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan is no longer part of NJPW and WWE’s current talks about a working relationship.
Bryan Danielson was absolutely part of the early talks, that hasn’t been the case of late as far as the major aspect, and one source said he hasn’t been a part of any recent talks. New Japan also would not agree to any deal unless they felt it was extremely beneficial to them, and keep in mind that WWE has regularly tried to talk with them in the past and it’s gotten nowhere and the real difference here is Nick Khan has never been involved in these talks in the past
