At the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Daniel Bryan defeated Drew Gulak in a singles match and on the following episode of SmackDown Live, the latter helped Bryan in fending-off the trio of Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro.
This eventually led to an alliance between Gulak and Bryan, as the two men have been seen helping each other out over social media in becoming better wrestlers. And, on this week’s edition of SmackDown Live, Bryan and Gulak also earned a hard-fought win over Nakamura and Cesaro in a tag team match, however, prior to the match, the pair were seen doing a similar pre-match warm-up.
As seen in the gif below, Bryan and Gulak’s pre-match ritual is something that New Japan Pro Wrestling legend Yuji Nagata would do with the recently retired veteran, Manabu Nakanishi.

Bryan and Gulak’s pre-match antics caught the attention of Nagata himself, as he hilariously wrote that their warm-up wasn’t as good as his and Nakanishi’s. Bryan eventually responded to the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion by apologizing to him.
Sorry Nagata-San! We’ll do better next time! #GetBetterEveryDay #CoachGulak #BryanGulakConnection https://t.co/e1pCONdnwa

The former WWE Champion currently seems to be in contention for challenging for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 36 and could share the stage with new champion Sami Zayn.
