Daniel Bryan ‘Negotiating’ With Top Wrestling Company

There have been lot of talks, rumors speculations over the former WWE star,Daniel Bryan’s future as a pro wrestler. It is understood that his contract with WWE had expired after his match on SmackDown recently.

He had squared off against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a losing effort. As per the stipulation he was ‘banished’ from the blue brand. WWE is trying their best to keep the former WWE Champion in the company but he has not yet spoken publicly what are his goals currently.

Daniel Bryan to NJPW?

Ringside News reported that they have asked around about the possibility of Daniel Bryan’s return. They reported that “it will never be hard to fit him back in” where the storylines are concerned.

They further reported that “there is open communication, but no rush from either side,” for him to pen down a new deal. As of now, Bryan is having his time off.

There is a good chance that he could try his luck outside of WWE now. The veteran star is a globally recognized star and could surely work for other promotions now. Dave Meltzer reported that he could even move to New Japan Pro Wrestling if the pandemic did not exist now.

He said:

“I actually think if we weren’t in a pandemic situation and without the quarantine issues that he’d probably be wrestling at the Tokyo Dome show, but we are. He’s free to negotiate with everyone and WWE was trying to sign him before the deal expired and that door is still very much open.”

Bryan does not have WWE’s 90 days non compete clause to his contract which means he could compete when and wherever he wants. We will have to see where Bryan decides to compete.
