Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns Winner Leaks

Daniel Bryan is one of the most beloved former WWE Champions in recent memory. However, his WWE Smackdown career might come to end if he cannot defeat ‘The Tribal Chief’ and current WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns for the title. During a recent interview with Barstool Sports, Bryan discussed this match as well as Roman Reigns. However, Bryan has indicated that this will be his final WWE Smackdown match. If Bryan were to win, Reigns would surely get a rematch. Was the upcoming WWE Universal Championship match ‘spoiled’ by Paul Heyman?

“Roman is just really good, and he has chemistry with a lot of people,” Bryan said. “I feel like I have chemistry with a lot of people, but I think one of the things that’s interesting is just our history together. I think that’s part of what makes the matches intriguing, and the fact that it hasn’t been seen a ton. Singles matches at least. We did one at Fastlane 2015, one at Fastlane this year, a super short match at Elimination Chamber and then this one. That will be all of them.”

Roman Reigns is also on the poster of champions for WrestleMania Backlash, as seen below, and not Daniel Bryan.

In another recent interview, Bryan recently talked to TVLINE about his WWE future and addressed what else, if anything Bryan would like to cross off his WWE bucket list before retiring from in-ring competition. Credit to Yahoo Entertainment for the below.

I don’t even think in those terms. A lot of a lot of those things are “make believe” in our own minds. There was a time where I was like, “Oh, I’d really like to do this…” and I never got any real sense of fulfillment or accomplishment from that. Obviously, I’m in a blessed place where I’m regularly on TV, I’m regularly in cool stories, I regularly get to be on pay-per-view matches. It’s different when you’re struggling to get on TV and pay-per-view matches. It’s a different ballgame. But I don’t have those goals or checklists.”

Will Daniel Bryan ‘retire’ on WWE Monday Night Raw? Bryan also stated: Part of the thing that I’m mostly interested in learning, and the hardest part about stepping away from full-time, is the idea of how much I still have to learn. I’ve been fortunate enough to sit in a lot of production meetings and I’ve learned a lot. Whenever you get deep into something, you start to uncover layers and the different aspects there are to putting on a wrestling show. I spent years trying to learn how to talk in front of people because I was never good at that. Now, it’s looking at camera angles and things like that. It’s interesting just to learn deeper and deeper about this thing that I love so much.
