Daniel Cormier has yet to sign with WWE, but he might eventually. He received an offer from FOX, but it could not happen.
Cormier spoke to BT Sport, Cormier revealed that he had an offer to appear on WWE Backstage. While the role was not specified, it could not happen due to UFC’s current arrangement with ESPN.
“I got an offer to work that new show, WWE Backstage on [FS1]. Obviously, it didn’t work with the new relationship with [UFC and] ESPN. But we are constantly trying to get me involved in the product. As a big time fan of the WWE, nothing makes me happier. I’ve got some great opportunities, man. I’m lucky. I’ve got some things outside of the octagon that’s gonna carry me for a long time.”
The world of professional wrestling is unpredictable, so we could very well see Cormier make his way to WWE in good time.
