Cody Rhodes defended his TNT Championship against Darby Allin at AEW Full Gear in a singles match. The two had a lot of history as both of them were determined to get the win.
Allin set to prove himself and that he could topple Rhodes and become the new champion. It was an intense match from start to finish as both wrestlers gave it their all in order to come out the victor. There were several near falls in the match that had the fans at the edge of their seats.
Towards the end of the match, Cody Rhodes did not finish Allin when he could have and then Allin managed to get the pinfall. He became the new TNT Champion.
Following his win, Rhodes presented Darby with the title. Then Taz came out and cut a promo on Allin and then Brian Cage came out and put him through the windshield of a car and tried to smash his arm in a car door. However, Will Hobbs came out and thwarted their offence.
