WWE announced earlier this year that they’d be bringing a handful of tournaments back in 2018. The UK Championship Tournament will make its way to the Royal Albert Hall on June 18 and 19, and it looks like the Mae Young Classic will return in August.
It was reported by Bryan Alvarez that the Mae Young Classic will take place on August 7 and 8 at Full Sail University. It’s unknown when it will be broadcast on the network, though.
Last year’s MYC brought a lot of talent into NXT, with stars like Kari Sane, Lacey Evans, Dakota Kai and NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler taking over the developmental brand, just to name a few. And while they weren’t signed to the company, wrestlers like Toni Storm and Piper Niven have made quite a name for themselves in the year since the classic.
