Dave Batista announces retirement from Sports Entertainment after WrestleMania 35

As many speculated, at WrestleMania 35, Dave Batista indeed wrestled his last match in the WWE. The Animal put up a great match against his on-screen nemesis and longtime real-life friend Triple H.

 


 

Batista was defeated by Triple H after Ric Flair handed the latter a sledgehammer that eventually got him the victory. However, after the event was over, Dave Batista took to his social media handles to make a very emotional announcement.

On his Instagram handle, Batista revealed that this was his final match in the WWE and he has decided to retire from Sports Entertainment. He thanked the fans for letting him entertain them and said that he leaves the “theater of violence” with pride.

Furthermore, he reassured his fans by letting them know that he leaves the industry in great health and that the show will always go on.

The Animal, a 6x World Champion in the WWE, is certainly a future Hall of Famer. He has enjoyed an immensely successful career having accomplished numerous accolades in the company.

The squared circle and the fans will undoubtedly always miss seeing the Animal in action.
