Dax Harwood reveals why AEW must respect “wrestling’s foundation”

FTR emphasizes the fundamentals of tag teams in a professional wrestling match. They take the rules very seriously and Dax Harwood recently expressed his frustration with AEW.

Chris Hero took to Twitter and talked about tag team ropes, asking whether they are necessary. Dax Harwood saw this post and promptly replied.

Harwood quoted a portion from Hero’s post and then elaborated that FTR is trying to not set anything back, but further it.

[From Chris Hero’s post]“With no restrictions, practically anyone can have a killer match! I’m more impressed when the wrestlers work within particular parameters and STILL have a killer match.”

I’m not intentionally being a “bitter old man”. We HAVE to respect a little of pro wrestling’s foundation.

I hope you guys read this article & understand that my frustration doesn’t come from trying to regress the business or a “hate for highspots”. It’s because I absolutely love it to a fault & want it to continue to grow. We just have to hold on to the base of what got us here.

AEW emphasizes tag team wrestling and has many talented tag teams in its roster. FTR wants to keep the fundamentals alive and want fans to understand how important fundamentals are for tag team wrestling.
