Deontay Wilder ‘Career Threatening’ Claim Leaks

Deontay Wilder is set to lock horns with WBC Champion Tyson Fury and Promoter Lou DiBella recently opened up on Wilder. He said that Wilder should know that his career is on the line in his trilogy fight against The Gypsy King.

 


 

Lou DiBella makes strong remarks on Deontay Wilder

He said that if Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) gets knocked out by Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) then he will no longer be an top heavyweight boxer and his career would be in question.

The promoter said that Wilder should continue marketing his pay-per-view fight against Fury, and that is not possible if he is not completely engaged during the press conferences.

Wilder did not interact with Fury to build interest in the contest with the fans. Dibella believes he should have interacted even if it’s mentally painful for Wilder.

Dibella said:

“It’s not something I like. Look, his career is on the line, and he knows it.I mean, if he gets smoked again by Fury, where does he go? He’s no longer among the elite in the heavyweight division.”

Wilder will take on Fury on July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
