Deontay Wilder Spotted In Tub With A-List Actor

The former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has had several fights inside the squared circle. While the fans had been wondering when he will be competing again, he recently admitted that he is reluctant to fight again in the future.

Deontay Wilder opens up on his future fight

In October, Wilder took part in one of the best heavyweight fights in recent years. He was knocked out in the eleventh round of his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury. His paycheck for the loss was also reported previously. Wilder went down in the third, before coming back and dropping Fury twice in the following round. Fury would rally back to drop Wilder in the tenth and once more in the eleventh.

He had suffered a hand injury in the loss and was forced to undergo surgery. He is currently recovering from the procedure and spending time with his family. He is expected to be out for quite some time but he has some major decisions to take for his future. While there are huge opportunities for Wilder in the heavyweight division, he is seemingly in doubt moving forward as a boxer.

During Kevin Hart’s show on the Laugh Out Loud Network, he said:

“It’s mixed feelings because ultimately I have accomplished all my goals in this sport. I told my daughter when she was one that I’d be a champion and I’d be able to support her beyond her belief. I’ve done [the things I promised to my daughter]. There’s a lot of things that I’ve accomplished that I feel I [don’t] have to prove [anything] to anyone because I’ve already proven [it to myself]. Should I push forward? Should I give it a go one more time? Or should I just retire and focus on the other things that I already have, other things that I want to get into?”

Wilder’s co-manager, Shelly Finkel, expects his boxer to return to the ring in 2022. He believes Wilder’s next fight is very likely to take place in the first half of the coming year.
