Deontay Wilder was set to face off against Britain’s WBC champion Tyson Fury for the WBC World Heavyweight Championship in Las Vegas on July 24. Ahead of their boxing match, they had a press conference where they could not stop staring at each other. However, that was cancelled after Tyson Fury tested positive for COVID-19. Tyson Fury also leaked bad news related to Wilder’s health previously.
Recently a video of Deontay Wilder surfaced on Instagram which showed him throwing punches at a peach while carrying on his intense training routine.
Tyson Fury is set to square off against Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas on October 9th. It will finally be ending the intense rivalry between the two in the third boxing match of their trilogy.
Fury’s father John Fury confirmed that Tyson Fury plans on boxing Anthony Joshua in December if Deontay Wilder is defeated as he spoke to GiveMeSport.
“He’s been inactive, but so has Wilder, they’ve both done nothing for two years. But I see Tyson with a mindset he’s got today, knocking him out within four rounds
I mean, KO’ing him this time properly, getting the job done where there is no arguments at all, flat out on his back. And then when that’s happened out the way, few weeks’ rest, onto Joshua.
“He’s trying to get Joshua in December. We’re going for that fight this year. Because we see Wilder as no threat at all once he’s done the camp right.
