Backstage details on what WWE Officials are planning for Roman Reigns after Strowman’s injury

According to some latest reports from WrestlingInc via the Dirty Sheets podcast, WWE Officials have decided to put Roman Reigns in a feud against The Miz after the injury of Braun Strowman.

This is one of the likely reasons why The Miz is receiving his title shot again Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose next week on Raw, instead of the Extreme Rules PPV.

The original idea for this feud called it to begin after the Extreme Rules PPV but the injury of The Monster Among Men has allegedly forced these plans to change.

Now this rivalry is most likely to begin in a week or two leading to a match between these two WWE superstars at the next Raw exclusive PPV Extreme Rules.

It’s also being said that the original plan was that Roman Reigns would defeat Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, so the Universal Championship would have been the only male title Roman had not won on the main roster.

Then, as it has been rumoured from sometimes now, Roman would go on to face the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for his championship at WrestleMania 34.

While currently it’s not known whether the IC title would be involved in this feud with the change in plan, this scenario looks most likely as the original plans for this rivalry involved the belt.

Regarding the plans including Strowman, it’s being said that the former Shield member was supposed to face Braun in an Ambulance match at Extreme Rules which he would have lost.

This match is obviously cancelled now since Strowman is expected to be out for at least 4 weeks, which means he will not be able to make it to the next Raw PPV on June 4rth.
