Dominik Mysterio ‘Can’t Wrestle’ WWE Match?

There is absolutely no doubt that Rey Mysterio is one of the most popular and greatest luchadors to have ever stepped foot inside the world of professional wrestling and remains a beloved Superstar in WWE. On the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view, Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio challenged Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. They would go on to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles and become the first-ever father and son duo to win the WWE tag team titles in the company’s history. Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah also returned to WWE last month.

Rey Mysterio has competed in various promotions all over the world, in a career spanning over three decades. He is one of the most popular luchadors of all time and adheres to the rules of the Lucha wrestling world. His son Dominik Mysterio has not worn any mask, which is usually the case for all luchadors. Many fans have been wondering whether Dominik will ever wear one.

Rey Mysterio recently spoke to  Alistair McGeorge of the Metro, where he revealed that he will never face Dominik Mysterio in a one on one match.

“We actually talked about this a while back, when my son started to train. The more and more we got to spend time together in the ring and outside of the ring, it came to the point where me and my son were like, there’s no need.

The connection here is so beautiful, the love – more than father and son, I think we’re like best friends. For the moment, there’s no time for us to even be thinking, “how would it be like to face each other? We’re enjoying such a great moment right now within our personal lives, within our wrestling careers.

“For me, it’s a complete blessing, before I end up retiring – to have been able to share these moments with my son. So that thought of possibly facing each other, I think was thrown down the trash a while back.”
