Dominik and his wife have been together since high school and got married over the past year, though they have been a couple for a long time. Being part of the Mysterio family for so many years has given her a solid understanding of the wrestling business.
In a recent conversation with Logan Paul on Impaulsive, Dominik revealed that his wife is perfectly fine with the on-screen romantic angles in WWE. She recognizes the distinction between his wrestling persona dating Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley and his real-life self. For example, after a recent segment where Rhea licked his face, the first text Dominik received from his wife was about a tarantula in their garage. She understands that the character he portrays on TV, “Dirty Dom,” is separate from the husband she welcomes home.
“We’ve been together since we were 14, and we’re 27 now. She is honestly the best. I do what I do on TV, and last week when Rhea licked my face, the first text I got from her was there’s a tarantula in our garage. She gets it. She gets the split. She understands the difference from like when I’m on TV I’m dirty Dom and I come home to her and I’m her husband Dominic. There’s a there’s a huge difference as far as like when I come home too. So like I just want to rest and she like she does a good job of separating work and real life and stuff.”
Dominik praised his wife for her ability to separate his wrestling persona from their personal life. He noted that they have been together since they were 14 and are now 27, highlighting her supportive nature. They made strategic decisions regarding their life milestones, including waiting until after his wife graduated college and his WWE contract was finalized before getting engaged and married.
