Former President Donald Trump Trump flew to New York on the eve of his arraignment in the Stormy Daniels investigation along with a series of close aides, among them former White House aide Margo Martin, advisor Jason Miller, and longtime aide Dan Scavino.
Trump recently stated that he expects to be arrested in connection with the investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney soon. He went on to call for protests as New York law enforcement prepares for a possible indictment. A photo of Donald Trump’s plane taking off to fly to New York for his arrest was also leaked.
The controversy sparked around the hush money payment that Cohen admitted that he made to Stormy Daniels during the fall of Trump’s 2016 White House bid to keep her from coming forward about an alleged affair she had with the then-candidate. Trump has denied the affair. Previously, TMZ reported that Daniels was experiencing the impact of Trump’s potential impending arrest and reportedly strengthening her security after receiving multiple threats.
It has been noted that Trump set out on his historic post-presidential journey from Mar-a-Lago to New York for booking without the company of former first lady Melania Trump or son Barron.
Some of his aides were seen boarding his Boeing 757 emblazoned with the Trump logo for a flight whose movements were carried live on cable networks.
The trip came as it was revealed that Trump was adding still another lawyer to his stable of attorneys, white-collar New York criminal defense lawyer Todd Blanche. who previously represented former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, who was jailed on corruption charges.
