Donald Trump Caught Lying About Elvis Presley

The fixation that Donald Trump has on crowd sizes has become a subject of intrigue for psychologists and historians alike. It is a phenomenon that will likely be analyzed for years to come to understand what drives Trump to place such importance on the number of people attending his events, often resorting to falsehoods to inflate his figures. Perhaps it stems from a deep-rooted desire to be perceived as popular and in-demand, especially in comparison to Biden and other Democrats who do not attract similar large crowds.

No Democrat supporter would willingly endure 18 hours of waiting in scorching 98-degree heat just to listen to a discredited and dishonest individual bemoan his perceived victimhood for a mere 90 minutes. Fortunately, no Democrat fits that description, so we can breathe a sigh of relief. Politicians, in general, are not viewed as rock stars because, after all, they are politicians.

But Trump appears unable to resist the allure of grandiose crowd sizes. Since his recent rally in Pickens, South Carolina, he has been spreading the rumor that a staggering 75,000 people attended his event. Taking to Truth Social, he embellished a post by South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace, who stated that there were 30,000 people inside the perimeter and an additional 45,000 outside trying to get in, totaling 75,000. Trump chimed in, expressing gratitude to Nancy for a fantastic day in Pickens.

However, the reality is far from Trump’s claim. According to the Secret Service, the estimated number of attendees was around 15,000, which is still a respectable turnout. But Trump cannot resist the urge to fabricate and exaggerate, claiming more attendees in a small South Carolina town than Taylor Swift had at her Eras tour in Atlanta.

This is not the first time Trump has demonstrated such audacity. At a previous rally, he even likened himself to Elvis, stating that people said he looked like the legendary musician. It is truly astonishing how shamelessly Trump behaves.

But the lies persist. Trump has now posted an article titled “Trump Now Draws Larger Crowds Than Elvis,” citing a right-leaning source, the DC Enquirer, as evidence. The article highlights Elvis Presley’s largest concert in 1976, which drew over 60,000 people at the Pontiac Silverdome. The Enquirer claims that Trump’s South Carolina rally attracted 15,000 more attendees than Elvis’s event, attempting to create a false narrative.

Video footage from the rally reveals that Trump even played Elvis songs, further fueling the spectacle. The disregard for facts by Trump and his supporters is disheartening. They appear unfazed by the lies being propagated, contributing to the sad state of affairs that Trump has brought upon our country.
