Donald Trump Pitched Major WrestleMania Match

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has seen it all when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. He is certainly well-versed in tag team wrestling as well. It seems he has also saved the WWE career of a former WWE Superstar.

Donald Trump was at UFC 264, but it turns out a major production mistake ruined his chance at being on camera. Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie Poirier has retweeted someone suggesting Conor McGregor should be arrested for his violent threats at UFC 264, and that ICE should deport him. Jolie retweeted a tweet sent directly to Las Vegas Police calling for an investigation. Joe Rogan also recently revealed why Dustin Poirier was wrong.

Bret Hart recently spoke on on his Instagram page, where he revealed he wants to face Donald Trump in a match while Vince McMahon will officiate it as the referee.

“I mean if there was something where it’s like I could wrestle Donald Trump at WrestleMania and Vince McMahon was gonna referee it or something, I’d hear it out because it’d be funny to hear it but the thought of me going in there and wrestling somebody is pretty unlikely and as far as managers and all that kind of stuff, I don’t — Bret Hart was a wrestler, not a manager and I don’t wanna be remembered as a manager and so I would never do it. I was a great wrestler.”

WWE have released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, and Buddy Murphy. The reason cited was part of budget cuts, and Strowman was being paid $1.2 million per year according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The former WWE Universal Champion signed a new contract in October 2019, so the budget cut regarding Strowman is the WWE’s biggest saving financially from all of the talent cuts in the last year plus during the pandemic. Braun Strowman was fired by WWE for a very surprising reason as well.

Previously, more details regarding WWE’s decision to release Braun Strowman from his contract had been revealed. Braun Strowman’s contract definitely played a role in him getting fired. On top of that, Braun Strowman was viewed as an ‘obsolete’ WWE Superstar and ‘two years past his prime.

That was only just the beginning as WWE continued to release several Superstars o the past few months. Their latest set of releases included the likes of Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Ember Moon, Mia Yim and Nia Jax.
