Former President Donald Trump has cast doubt on his participation in the upcoming ABC News debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. His latest comments, posted on Truth Social late Sunday, criticized the network and host Jon Karl following a contentious interview with Senator Tom Cotton. Trump described Karl as a “lightweight reporter” and expressed skepticism about the fairness of the debate, questioning why he should participate on a network he deems biased.
Trump also raised concerns about potential bias, referencing a past controversy involving Donna Brazile, who was accused of leaking debate questions during the 2016 election. He questioned whether Brazile or other network figures would influence the debate, and why Harris had declined to debate on networks like Fox News, NBC, CBS, and CNN.
I watched ABC FAKE NEWS this morning, both lightweight reporter Jonathan Carl’s(K?) ridiculous and biased interview of Tom Cotton (who was fantastic!), and their so-called Panel of Trump Haters, and I ask, why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?
The debate, scheduled for September 10, was part of an initial agreement between Trump and President Joe Biden. Harris’s campaign had indicated she would debate on ABC News first before considering other networks preferred by Trump.
Will panelist Donna Brazil give the questions to the Marxist Candidate like she did for Crooked Hillary Clinton? Will Kamala’s best friend, who heads up ABC, do likewise.
