Donald Trump’s Girl Is Replacing Tucker Carlson?

Former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is set to step in to host “Fox News Tonight” in the network’s coveted primetime slot. It has been noted that it which recently opened up after the company’s ousting of Tucker Carlson, all of next week.

McEnany shared the news on Twitter Thursday afternoon, writing, “I am honored to share that I will be hosting Fox News Tonight on @FoxNews at 8pm ET all next week (5/8-5/12)! Set your DVR.”

“Please join me next week as we dig into the state of politics, media, culture, and faith in America!”

It has been noted that McEnany is now set to become the third Fox personality to step in during the primetime block, following Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones, who both underwhelmed what is now an angry base of viewers.

The role is not permanent, as McEnany notes, but her track record of solo success in her experiences at the White House and as a co-host on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” midday program positions her in a spot to potentially take over full-time if viewers respond.

However, so far, Fox has been devastated by the loss of Carlson, the network’s most popular host for years, and it doesn’t look like any one personnel change can fix it.

After Carlson’s ousting, ratings in the primetime slot have sharply dipped, while even CNN is now beating Fox in the key demographics.
