Drake Maverick on WWE firing: “I am going to stick it to them”

Drake Maverick was one of the WWE stars who was released by the company last week as part of budget cuts due to the coronavirus alongside people like Kurt Angle and Rusev.

However, the former 205 Live general manager will get a chance to save his job in the ongoing Cruiserweight title tournament and he will stay with the company if he can win the competition.

The former TNA star talked about his situation on the latest episode of WWE’s the Bump and claimed that he will prove the person who fired him that they were wrong. Maverick continued by saying that he is going to ‘stick it to them’ in a professional way:

“I’m going to stick it to them and tell the person that made this decision that you were wrong. I’m going to do it the professional way, I’m going to do it the right way. I’m not going to whine, I’m not going to complain. I’m just going to go out there and I’m going to show ‘em.”

There is no word yet on what the company is planning with Maverick and the cruiserweight tournament and it would be interesting to see if he is actually able to save his job.
