Drew McIntyre states it might be a slow build-up to the storyline

McIntyre and Sheamus’ friendship began way back 15 years ago during their stint in Irish Whip Wrestling and then FCW and WWE. The Scottish Pychopath and The Celtic Warrior could soon be involved in a feud.

On the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, Sheamus had gifted McIntyre a sword to make him remember his roots and the great Scottish family heritage.

This could mean that a feud can start off with a personal angle as they are real-life friends for a long time.

McIntyre said that there is ample amount of WWE T.V. time to build up a storyline and there is no point of starting and ending a feud abruptly. So, the slow build-up to it adds more drama and excitement.

He said:

“We’ll get 52 weeks of TV and we can take this as far as we can take. Maybe we can do something together – how interesting would that be if he’s still Sheamus doing the nasty things he does and I’m still Drew McIntyre doing what I do over here? But in the middle sometimes we tag and we’re able to interact with each we have that friendship and see how that can go. There’s so many possibilities that I don’t think we have to jump into a match too way down the line… And again 52 weeks of TV – let’s not rush a story for once.”

Drew McIntyre set to collide with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the upcoming WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, which is scheduled to take place this Sunday.
