Via the user on Twitter @MicroManFever we hear this: “Andrade says he never has been inactive for 4 months like he was after his eye surgery. He was so ready to work again and was hit by the reality of seeing the other great talent just sitting around doing nothing. This I believe pushed him to make his decision even more.” This prefaces when Andrade and McIntyre feuded over the NXT championship.
Let’s talk about Drew a bit more in this saga. You see, Drew had and has lots of respect for Andrade and I’m sure is heated by the fact that Andrade is no longer in the WWE. Andrade seems to hold the same respect for Drew. Sadly, Andrade was treated poorly by creative. Via Twitter again, @MicroManFever spoke about the talent working together: “Andrade explaining being told to enhance Drew Mcintyre. Drew approached him before the match and told him to show what he can do and not focus on making him look good.”
This is a great display of partnership within the WWE. It’s great to know that while maybe things didn’t end the best for Andrade, he gave it his all and Drew went on to become legendary in this era.
