Drew McIntyre helping Heath Slater following WWE release

Heath Slater was a veteran in WWE, having spent 16 years in the company. He was released on April 15th as part of the mass exodus which saw over a hundred employees getting fired. Slater mentioned in the past how he knew his character had become stale and is now out to prove himself.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre spoke to Metro.Uk, where he was asked about Heath Slater. Slater made an appearance on WWE The Bump prior to getting released, where he said he was proud of McIntyre. The two have been great friends long before their 3MB days.

McIntyre said that he has been giving Slater advice and Slater already has a plan in mind.

“Heath’s already got a game plan he’s forming,’ he added. ‘I’m giving him advice on what to do. He’s gonna really get to show the world what he’s capable of.”

Hopefully, Heath Slater makes his return to WWE after he establishes himself in other promotions. While Cody Rhodes joked about not signing him, anything is possible in professional wrestling. Perhaps we will see him make a triumphant return the same way his 3MB brethren did.
