On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Show” on RussosBrand.com, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed what current WWE champion Drew McIntyre allegedly revealed to Bhatti via text what the plan was for Seth Rollins prior to the 2021 edition of the Royal Rumble. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Bhatti’s comments below. Bhatti and Russo, also discussed how the original plan for WrestleMania 37 was for Edge to take on WWE Champion Drew McIntyre
Bhatti: Here is why I definitely think it was still Rollins. I’m hearing that Seth Rollins is going to win the Royal Rumble out of nowhere and it was planned to be Daniel Bryan for months. Drew [McIntyre] replied back to me saying that it is going to be Seth and Roman. There are more messages where I said that it’s him and Bryan and that’s what Reigns wanted to do. I can’t believe they think that Rollins can come in and be a face two months after being a heel and with no explanation.
Bhatti continued: Drew replied confirming the ‘being a dad changed Rollins’ angle, and that there is still two hours until the show, who knows what it will be by then. That’s how I knew they were pissing around all day as well. Obviously I am going to respect the privacy of Drew McIntyre because I’m not going to send the screenshots but I will send them to you Vince just to show you what kind of shit goes on in the day because it happens all the time. Drew McIntyre recently revealed why his match with Goldberg was ‘limited’.
