Drew McIntyre reveals what Vince McMahon said to him after re-debut on main roster

Vince McMahon has been very involved with Drew McIntyre’s current run as the top babyface of Raw and the WWE champion has revealed in recent interviews that it was the boss who came with his sword entrance.

On the latest episode of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, the former NXT champion once again opened up about his relationship with the chairman of the board.

During the interview with the WWE legend, Drew McIntyre also recalled what Mr McMahon told him backstage after re-debut on the main roster

“I got backstage to Gorilla and gave Vince a hug, and he told me, ‘Welcome home.’ And then it was later on we started having conversations, and he was very much about the present during that period. It wasn’t until later on we started kinda talking about the past and reminiscing, but as far as he was concerned at this stage, when I first returned, it was about what happens from here forward not going backwards.”

Drew McIntyre rejoined WWE back in April 2017 when he signed with the NXT brand. He then returned to the main roster during the 16 April 2018 episode of Raw where he aligned himself with Dolph Ziggler.
