WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg made his unexpected return on RAW Legends Night earlier in the month. During the show, he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
McIntyre revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 following Goldberg challenging him, but McIntyre eventually accepted the challenge for the title match at the Royal Rumble.
So far, the match is almost certain to happen at the event and many fans are under the impression that Goldberg will win the WWE Championship by beating Drew McIntyre.
Drew McIntyre recently spoke to to The Arash Markazi Show, where he discussed his upcoming match against Goldberg. McIntyre said that it is a dream match for him as he was always a huge fan of Goldberg while he was growing up.
“Yeah, that’s a dream match I played in a game when I was 13 and I created myself in Create-A-Wrestler and fought Goldberg and now it’s happening in real life. So yeah, it’s pretty surreal for me. I was such a huge fan.”
Drew McIntyre and Goldberg will be having a face-to-face on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, which is the go-home edition of the show prior to The Royal Rumble.
