It’s no shock that more and more superstars are using banned moves within the WWE. Vince McMahon seems to ban someone or something new daily. It looks like Drew McIntyre is the newest in line to possible get on the wrong side of Vince. Vince McMahon ‘Bans’ African American Star In WWE.
The banned move and any issues related was recently called out by a fan and then we see Dave Meltzer chime in to give his two cents worth on the top.
Crippler19 posted on the F4WOnline.com forums: “The fact that neither [Dave Meltzer or Bryan Alvarez] have acknowledged the thigh slapping being out of control is pretty telling… yes we understand people have been doing it forever. Yes we understand it makes the move look and sound better. But when someone OBVIOUSLY and with no attempt to hide it, like Luchasaurus and McIntyre, slaps their legs/ass/whatever it looks stupid.”
Dave Meltzer responded rather quickly and swiftly to this sentiment by the fan: “We got both with and without with McIntyre last night. The without looked so lame and the with looked normal. At least if you are going to make a point, don’t make the one last night disproved.”
After seeing what McIntyre did, it was almost surely a statement on how crazy the new rule is. The cat is out of the bag. The truth to the tooth fairy and Santa are out in the open. There’s no hiding pro-wrestling, Vince. Please don’t continue to lose the audience with this. Let’s just focus on good shows, shall we?
