Let’s find out about this as we take a deep dive into the newest episode of ‘The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show’ with two of our favorites to listen to, the famed Vince Russo and the ever knowledgeable Billi Bhatti.
Billi Bhatti: “At the very, very, last second. They noticed something.”
Vince Russo: “This is last Monday, bro? Last Monday?”
Billi: “So, they’re writing the show…and what’s in the show is for McIntyre to call out Lashley and for McIntyre to be seriously attacked to sell Wrestlemania. The plan is to sell the Wrestlemania match this week on Raw to give it the four week build.”
Bhatti continues on: “They realize, on Monday, a few hours before the show that the poster for Fastlane has Drew McIntyre on it holding a sword. Drew McIntyre isn’t supposed to be at Fastlane. Lashley and McIntyre are not on the Fastlane card. Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan is the main event.”
Bhatti: “Somebody points out that on the WWE Network, Drew McIntyre is on the poster of it (Fastlane) so they go back and find out this is exactly what the poster is. Let me find it….here you go (shows Russo).
Vince Russo: “Wow! He’s the only one on the poster!”
Billi Bhatti: “Yeah, and they didn’t plan for him to have a match. They rewrite the show with an hour or so to go. They scrap the attack. Miz is getting a rematch and Drew is having a rematch again with Sheamus with a finish that takes us to Fastlane.”
