Drew McIntyre says his arm injury doesn’t look good

As many who watched NXT TakeOver: WarGames observed, Drew McIntyre was left injured during his match against Andrade “Cien” Almas – something which Triple H later confirmed.

McIntyre underwent an MRI after losing the belt and confirmed the extend of his injury speaking backstage to Kayla Braxton:

“I honestly don’t know. I felt something go in my arm, my bicep/elbow area… from experience, know it’s probably not good, but I won’t know anything official until I talk to the doctor.

I won’t make any excuses. It was a heck of a match tonight. And if it doesn’t turn out the way I hope it does, you know, you’re only as good as your last match. No matter what happens, I’m coming back, and I’m coming for my NXT title – unfinished business there. But right now, I’ve just got to deal with this.”

We will keep you updated with any news on his injury, but a complete bicep tear is likely to result in 3-6 months out for the Scottish star which will mark another chapter in his ongoing tale of adversity.
