The highly-anticipated trilogy fight at UFC 264 saw Dustin Poirier get the first round victory via TKO over Conor McGregor, who suffered a horrific leg injury. Following the event, Poirier’s niece, Cydni Poirier took to her Instagram account and posted a picture that saw Poirier’s wife, Jolie Poirier showing the middle finger to The Irishman for his disgraceful comments. Cydni showed support to her aunt for her actions.
She wrote:
“If you know @mrsjoliepoirier then you already know she is THE ride or die so just
But anyway, my aunt is a BAD BITCH”
UFC President Dana White confirmed that The Notorious One had suffered a lower tibia fracture in his left leg. He also stated that McGregor will be undergoing surgery today.
The Diamond also commented on the injury sustained by McGregor. He said:
“He [Conor McGregor] fractured it in one of the checks in the beginning of the fight. Then it broke on a punch, yeah, for sure. When I pointed at him in the beginning of the fight, that’s when I checked a good kick. I bet that’s when it cracked… I feel it was probably cracked and then, just on the twist of the punch, it finished, you know.”
It is being reported that McGregor will be needing four to six months to recover and make his return to the Octagon.
