Edge comments on news of The Revival asking for their release

Reports of The Revival asking for their release from the WWE following their match against Lucha House Party on RAW have surfaced and are currently one of the main topics of discussion in the Internet Wrestling Community.

The Revival has made an interesting move on social media since then. However, it is to be noted that simply because they asked for their release does not mean WWE will grant them their request.

On the latest episode of E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness, Edge and Christian talked about news of The Revival requesting to be released from their WWE contracts. While discussing the matter, Edge put The Revival, as well as The Usos, over as being one of the best tag teams in the business.

Edge then added that he could relate to The Revival and understood where they were coming from. He then talked about what it can be like and the frustration a talent could face working in WWE. Here is what he said:

“If it’s true I get it in a way it’s got to be frustrating like we’ve talked about a six-minute match. What kind of story can you tell in a six-minute match and you start to throw in Lucha House Party Rules or something like that. The danger is people think, ‘Alright I’m in WWE now, let’s go,’ it’s gotta be disillusioning sometimes. Like, I remember we had to go out and have a handicap match with Steve Blackman in two minutes.”
