Edge Drops Retirement Bombshell Before WWE Raw

WWE Hall of Famer Edge recently made his return at SummerSlam with a new character. The Rated R Superstar went on a hiatus for several weeks after being kicked out of The Judgment Day, a group he started. He made a surprise return at The Biggest Party of the Summer during Finn Balor and Damian Priest’s tag team match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. He helped The Mysterios defeat Judgment Day, turning babyface in the process. However, there have been some turmoil between him and Mysterios.

Edge talks about possibly retiring soon

Edge’s career had shortened back in 2011 when neck injuries forced him to retire. However, he made his epic return at Royal Rumble 2020 and it is nothing different from a fairytale. But as it seems, he would have to call it a day soon after a legendary career.

Speaking with Bleacher Report for a new interview, Edge made it clear he’s well aware that he is on borrowed time. He said:

“I am enjoying and soaking in every moment with the complete realization that it’s going to end soon. I know the end is in sight and I can see it, and because of that, it makes me enjoy it more. I know the end is in sight and I can see it.”

Edge is set to compete on tonight’s Raw in his native Toronto, facing Damian Priest. It is expected that he will compete at next month’s Clash at the Castle which marks the company’s first premium event in UK in over a decade.
