Edge appeared on NXT on Wednesday, but according to the quarter hour ratings in Wrestling Observer, his segment with Finn Balor and Pete Dunne lost big to the AEW wedding segment with Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford, and Miro.
The wedding segment tied for AEW’s peak viewers wise, while Edge’s in ring segment wasn’t the peak for NXT. WWE did fail to properly advertise Edge, as he was only announced on Twitter, not on Raw. The AEW wedding segment did well in the women 35-49 demographic. WWE just reacted to NXT cancelation rumors.
