Edge ‘Losing’ WrestleMania Main Event For Sad Reason

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge won this year’s Royal Rumble match and earned the right to face a champion of his choosing in the main event of WrestleMania. He ultimately chose WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but he is losing his one on one match in favor of a triple threat, and doesn’t appear to be the face anymore either, with rumors that he will not go over in the match. A big name claims Edge could be ‘forced’ to retire at a major WWE PPV.

Edge seemingly turned Heel after he attacked both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan with many steel chair shots before making his way out of the ring. Roman Reigns ultimately got the three count on Daniel Bryan and successfully retained the title. The real reason for his heel turn was also revealed.

Now it seems several changes have been made to the card for WrestleMania 37. In fact, the WWE Universal Championship match has undergone the most changes. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is backstage concern regarding Edge’s age as he seems to look older with each passing week. It is not noted whether this will led to the match not being the main event for WrestleMania 37.

“One person close to the situation said that the age issue, not as much the number as the look of age (“he was looking older each week”) with Edge, was a concerning point. But really, it was said it was just McMahon wanting to shake up the plans.”
