WWE Hall Of Famer Edge made his shocking return after nine years at last year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. His first feud since he returned was against Randy Orton.
The two squared off against each other in a brutal Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no live audience in attendance, which affected Edge.
While being interviewed by Vicente Beltran, Edge talked about his WrestleMania 36 match against Randy Orton. Edge revealed that the match was especially hard for him as it was unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
“We get to WrestleMania and it was probably the strangest for me because it was soooo empty and it was soooo quiet and it was so unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced in terms of performance especially within the confines of the world of wrestling. That was a weird one, that was hard. I’m so thankful that I had an opponent like Randy Orton because it made what was fairly an impossible situation seem possible.”
After a long and gruelling battle, Edge managed to defeat Randy Orton in the match.
Edge recently won the Royal Rumble match and as suggested by reports, he is likely to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37.
