Edge Painful WWE Bank Payment Leaks

The Hardy Boyz(Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) are undoubtedly one of the greatest tag-teams in the pro wrestling industry. Alongside Edge & Christian and The Dudley Boyz (Devon Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley), they changed the landscape of the tag-team wrestling. They are the creators of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and the first-ever match took place during the SummerSlam 2000 event. The match saw some high-risk spots that made gave birth to some iconic moments in the business. However, they were paid very little for their effort as per WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

Mick Foley talks about the paycheck

Hall of Famer Mick Foley on his podcast, ‘Foley is Pod’ opened up on the matter. He was serving as the on-screen commissioner for WWE at the time and he recently revealed how much the three teams were paid for the match:

“I was still one of the guys. They fully understood that I wasn’t the commissioner, I’m not actually [in the] office, and I said, ‘How bad was it?’

And when they said $10,000, I was like, ‘You got $10,000 for that?’” recalled Mick Foley, “So I went to Jim [Ross, Head of Talent Relations at the time] on their behalf and petitioned for more money.”

In other news related to Mick Foley, his son, Dewey Foley recently parted ways with WWE as per the reports, a couple of months before Vince McMahon’s scandal. He served the company as part of the creative team. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Foley exited the promotion in April of this year. Johnson added that he was not cut and left on his own will. Dewey most recently served as a writer for NXT. He also appeared on the short-lived reality TV show Holy Foley on the WWE Network.
