Edge Reacts To Bad Loss To AEW Dynamite

Christian Cage jump shipped from WWE to All Elite Wrestling and what does 2021 WWE Royal Rumble men’s winner Edge think about the move? He discussed Christian’s shocking debut at AEW’s Revolution event and him joining the rival promotion, stating that he is very happy for his former tag team partner. Edge made the following comments on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast. Credit to SportsKeeda for the below transcription. This surprising Edge promo was ‘buried’.

“I’m not bummed. I want him to be happy and I want him to get the respect that he deserves because I’d like for him to get the on-air respect that the locker room shows him. If you ask anyone within our industry, he’s a name where people go, ‘Man, that dude.’ Watch Steve [Austin] and Randy [Orton] talk about [Christian] and what he brings to the table. I want him to be wherever he’s going to get that respect.”

Edge’s former long-time tag team partner Christian made his in-ring debut during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite taking on Frankie Kazarian in a highly acclaimed match from wrestling fans all over. One fan and Twitter user @EIiteAEW stated: “Giving Christian Cage an almost 20 minute match to open up the show in his first match back in 7 years is proof of how much AEW really believes he’s still got it. That was awesome to watch.” While @HeelJobber17 said: “Christian Cage wasn’t kidding when he said he doesn’t believe in ring rust. He didn’t miss a beat in his match vs Frankie Kazarian. I can’t wait to see Cage vs Kenny Omega”
