Edge ‘Rips Off’ Attitude Era On Smackdown

On the heels of WWE SummerSlam, which will be held at Allegiant Stadium in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada – WWE SmackDown has been quite the show! During the event Edge kicked off the show and admitted that Rollins is pushing him to a dark place where ‘blood runs black’. The Hall of Famer also stated he was going to ‘Burn Rollins Down’ – a play on Rollins’ signature entrance music. Is this top WWE name going to have match with this WWE Attitude era star?

This led Rollins to retaliate later in the night and cut a promo on ‘The Rated R Superstar’ of his own. Rollins would state that he likes Edge’s style and was all laughs, furthering adding in that Edge can try to get on his level but he won’t be able to find it.

It was shortly after this this moment when the lights went dark and creepy yet all-too-familiar music played. It was the music of Edge’s former attitude era stable – The Brood. Edge would come on screen saying that ‘Freaks come out at night’ when, just like in the past, ‘blood’ would drop on the waiting individual- in this case, Seth Rollins.

The Brood would form in the WWE back during the company’s attitude era in 1998. The group, which featured Edge, Christian and Gangrel would disband a year later during a 1999 edition of Monday Night Raw. Video of the incident, courtesy of NoDQ.com’s Twitter account can be seen below.
