Edge SummerSlam Paycheck Stuns WWE Fans

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best heels to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. ‘The Rated R Superstar’ made his return at last year’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view after a long hiatus of nine years, following a career-ending neck injury. He would then compete in a couple of amazing matches against Randy Orton. Edge was then unable to defeat Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Universal Championship on Night Two of WrestleMania 37. Edge also cannot return to Friday Night Smackdown, according to Paul Heyman.  But it turns out Heyman’s storyline explanation is wrong.

The WWE Hall Of Famer has been virtually absent from WWE television since his match at the Grandest Stage of Them All and that has started making fans get worried about his status in the company. Many fans were concerned that the Rated R Superstar somehow suffered an injury during his WrestleMania 37 match and that is the reason why he has not been seen on WWE television for so long. However, that was not the case.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Edge is likely to return around the time for the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Since Edge is billed to return on the Houston Smackdown, and there is talk about bringing back big names, his wrestling at SummerSlam seems to add up.

Edge is paid $3 million by WWE and is rumored to have 25 dates heading into SummerSlam, though he may have seen an increase this year.
