Edge talks about why he never had a special entrance at Wrestlemania

During Wrestlemania, superstars get special entrances when walking out before their match and the list includes the likes of Triple H, John Cena and more. However, Edge never received one for himself.

During a recent Q&A episode of E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Edge was asked why he never had Alter Bridge play his entrance music to the ring during Wrestlemania. Edge then provided a proper reason for the lack of a special entrance.

Edge said that he had talked about it with Creative, and he thinks that a heel should not have a band playing them to the ring because that is something the fans will cheer. He said when he sees Triple H going out there with Motorhead, he wonders what there is to hate about it. His mentality is that as a heel you should do everything possible to not be cheered and having a “kickass band” playing you out to the ring goes against that.

In any case, due to his storyline angles and Alter Bridge’s touring schedule, the band never could play for him during Wrestlemania. He said it would have been possible during his match against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 24, but it would not have made sense coming out to the entrance music as a heel.
