Edge WrestleMania Entrance Botch Leaks

Edge’s WrestleMania entrance led to a fire that had to be put out after a mistake.

Brock Lesnar has etched his name in the annals of WWE history as one of the most dominant and powerful Superstars to ever grace the squared circle. His sheer strength and explosive athleticism have made him a force to be reckoned with inside the ring. However, his raw power sometimes comes at a cost.

Recently, in a video interview, Seth Rollins, a former WWE Champion, revealed how Lesnar accidentally injured him during their match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. The incident occurred before the match officially began, as Lesnar hurled Rollins against the ring apron while battling it out at ringside.

Lesnar believed that the LED board on the apron would cushion Rollins’ fall, but little did he know that WWE had used a standard ring skirt on that side of the ring. As a result, Rollins landed awkwardly on the metal frame beneath the ring, causing him to sustain a severe elbow injury that lasted for months.

Rollins revisited the match during a WWE Playback video, recalling how the accident happened and the impact it had on him physically. “When Brock [Lesnar] threw me into the ring [apron] there, there’s LED boards on all the rings now, and he thought there was an LED board there, so he thought it was gonna be hard, so he threw me into the base of the ring, but there’s nothing there,” Rollins explained. “I just went into the metal underneath the ring – it’s just a metal frame – and my elbow was messed up for months after that.”

Rollins’ injury serves as a stark reminder of the inherent dangers that come with professional wrestling. Despite the theatrics and choreography involved, the performers are putting their bodies on the line every time they step into the ring. Injuries like Rollins’ are not uncommon, and it’s a testament to the resilience and toughness of these athletes that they continue to put on awe-inspiring performances night after night.
