Eric Bischoff, the former WWE Producer recently opined AEW about signing a former WWE star during the recent edition of 83 Weeks Podcast.
Eric Bischoff wants AEW to sign Bully Ray
During the podcast, Bischoff talked about how AEW could use Bully Ray the way they are using the former AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho.
He said Ray would be a great addition to the promotion and will help AEW in many ways. Bischoff said there are not many experienced and talent personnels in the promotion and signing Ray would add experience and help shape up the future of young talents.
Bischoff said:
“There’s not a lot of really experienced, talented people who understand the art of creating emotion, and that’s what Bully was best at. I don’t know why Bully’s not there in AEW because he’s valuable.”

Bischoff admits that there are many talented people in AEW and Jericho is one of them. But he stated that adding some people alike Jericho, who have tons of experience, would be beneficial for the promotion.
He said:
“There’s some really talented people there, and obviously, Chris Jericho is maybe one of the most creative people right now. But wouldn’t you like to have 2, or 3, or 4 people that have Chris Jericho’s kind of experience and feel, but maybe come at it from a couple different perspectives so you have options? I would think somebody like AEW would really benefit from Bully’s experience.”
Bully Ray currently is not signed with any promotion. His last stint was in Ring of Honor(ROH) and after his contract expired with the promotion he became a free-agent. This is a great opportunity for AEW to snatch the signing of Ray.
