Eric Bischoff reveals he watched AEW Dynamite with Smackdown writers

Tony Khan recently talked to Eric Bischoff and told him that without WCW, AEW would not have existed. During the Road To Fight For The Fallen video conference with Conrad Thompson, Tony Khan, and Eric Bischoff, Bischoff revealed something interesting.

He revealed that during his time working as the SmackDown Executive Director, they had a side-by-side viewing party of AEW Dynamite and WWE SmackDown. He watched Dynamite along with other Smackdown writers in a conference room. They were able to notice the difference between both shows due to this.

“I do want to say this, one of the things that I think has distinguished [AEW] from anybody else, even when I was with WWE last year, I sat down and watched both shows side-by-side and I was working with WWE at the time and I was watching it in a writer’s conference room with a bunch of other writers.”

Bischoff also belives that AEW has been making a better TV product than WWE and has better presentation compared to WWE. He said that when he watched both shows, WWE’s method of shooting was “tighter” as they hid the venue instead of showing it. To him, AEW “feels more like live TV.”
