Erick Rowan claims he pitched gimmick idea similar to Bray Wyatt in WWE

Erick Rowan was among the names which were released by WWE in April and since then he has been talking openly about his time with the company.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with The Lewis Nicholls Show and during the talk, he made an interesting claim about an idea that WWE is currently using.

Rowan claimed that he had originally pitched the idea of having a character with split personalities with different masks and he even tried to use it on WWE programming.

“I’m obviously a huge fan of split personalities. I love that kind of character. I remember for the longest time; I pushed for myself to have a split personality with different masks. I had like 20 different masks. I remember I did a Talking Smack once where I tried a split personality character, and next thing I know, we’re the Bludgeon Brothers, but yes, being a fan of that sort of thing like horror movies, it’s cool to see them allow somebody to do that.”

What’s interesting to note here is that WWE has since repackaged Bray Wyatt and they seem to be using a similar idea for him where Wyatt is shown to have two different personalities as himself and the Fiend.
